Witheren is a rural locality near Canungra in Queensland. It is part of the Scenic Rim Region, the region is mostly rural, with Beaudesert and Boonah as the main towns. The center of the area is dominated by the Teviot Range and broad sweep of mountainous terrain forming a southern boundry on Queenslands southern boarder with New South Wales.
The property has been in the family for two generations and was originally 800 acres, it was a fully working dairy farm in the early 60's through to the early 70's. When the ADF resumed 640 acres for jungle training in preparation for the Vietnam war.
Since 2002 the remainder, 140 acres has become a hobby farm and environmental protection area for native animals. Witheren Heights Bush Camping Retreat boast affordable camping for all to enjoy, close to the Gold Coast.
The location is a great place to posture a base camp for sight-seeing the Gold Coast, Scenic Rim and Brisbane areas.

The easiest way to arrive here is by travelling from the Gold Coast to the town of Canungra and then travel along Beechmont Road towards Beechmont.
